A whirl wind December 2007

Aiden was born on December 4th 2007. He was 7lbs. 14 ounces and 19 inches long. I was really worried about how big brother was going to react to the new baby but he has done amazingly well. He loves him so much and always wants to hug and kiss him! He shows his love for him at the cutest times. The first week Aiden was here one day he was crying and I wasn't able to get to him as fast as he would have liked. I step into to hallway just in time to see Riley running into my room where Aiden was yelling "I'm coming baby Aiden!" It was the cutest thing to witness, big brother wanting eagerly to help his baby brother! Oh yeah, he is also always trying to soothe Aiden with his toys by trying to share them when he is upset! I was very surprised at how well I started feeling after the c-section. Life was wonderful with the four of us!! That was until Aiden was two and a half weeks old and mommy started having horrible back pain. I was up all night(when Aiden finally slept great)trying everything to soothe my own pain. Finally at 7:30am I gave in and called the dr. He said to come in as soon as I could. We made it up there and Dr. Smith told us he thought I had a pulmonary embolism!! Talk about freaking a person out. I went and had a CT scan STAT!! The scan was all clear except my gallbladder looked enlarged. I had gallstones. What a bummer. The doctor wanted me to keep popping pain killers to get me thru the hollidays. Well that didn't last. That Saturday I couldn't handle it anymore and neither could my dad seeing me in pain. He called Dr. Carter(who was hauling cattle). He got me admitted and on Monday(which was Christmas Eve) I went into surgery and had the gallbladder removed! I got to come home Christmas afternoon. My little boys didn't have a very merry Chirstmas and neither did mommy and daddy. My wonderful mother stepped in and was the mommy. She had to stay a whole week after Christmas to help poor me. She did an awesome job and couldn't have asked for a better mother!
