So I went in for my regular OB visit last week and now just have this big ol' lovely list of fun things! First off I do try really hard not to complain while pregnant. That's just being pregnant right, all the lovely things that come with it. Well I get there and Dr. Tran has gotten a new partner in his practice which is really awesome cause this town needs it. After the whole fun thing of peeing in my cup which everyone knows is so easy to do with a basketball sitting in front of you. I go to my exam room and Dr. Tran's wife comes in to let me know about the new doctor. She tells me all his credentials and bla bla bla. She asks if it would be ok for me to see him instead of Dr. Tran. "Well" I said. "If I wasn't having a c-section that would be totally fine and I wouldn't mind, but since my last c-section my uterus was a little weird I would really rather stay with Dr. Tran." She said as a woman she totally understood. As I wait for the dr to come in I can hear his staff complaining about giving these women choices. They shouldn't be able to choose. Ok so now I feel really bad about my decision. Dr comes in and I ask if it was bad of me. Of course he says no bla bla bla. I feel better. If I go into labor early and he is not the one on call I can deal with that!! So the nurse tells me I have a low grade fever and I have no idea why, I feel just fine not sick at all. I tell dr that I am cramping all the time and if I get to doing too much my belly gets all hard and uncomfortable. He says I'm having contractions and not to do much. Well ok, already been doing that. I am still measuring big and now he wants an ultrasound to see why. I remember doing the same thing with Aiden also. By the end of the pregnancy I started measuring more normal. So I ask dr about my fever and he says I need to get a UA to see if maybe I have something going on there. Ok, how about my c-section date? It will be on May 21ST. Yeah, I'm so excited other than that's the last day of school for my parents and Steven's mom. It is going to be a wonderful day! I go to check out to leave and they tell me I have to go to the hospital to leave another urine sample. I asked why I couldn't use the one I just left but they had already dumped it. Yeah! I get to go pee on my hand again:)
Ok I am now off my soap box and can now return to not complaining!!

Complain all you want! My doctor in Mississippi didin't believe in peeing in a cup every time. He thought women were over tested. It was great. Then we moved back to Utah, and I was back to peeing in a cup everytime. I totallly agree with you and wanting to see the doctor who is going to do your c-section. My doctor wasn't on call when I had Eliza. I sometimes wonder if things would have gone differently if he was. I had some complications, but I won't bore you any more. Good luck on your count down to c-section day. I never have made it to the scheduled day.
ReplyDeleteI agree... pregnancies are for complaining! I didn't get to complain so much with Rachel, because I had to be the perrrrrrrfect little pregnant person so that it would be easier to convince Andy to have another baby! Now that that's over with... I still try to be a good pregnant person! I said the same thing... Dr. Tran WILL be doing my C-Section, and I gave him a death threat! I have to see the new Dr. though next week, because Dr. Tran is out of town... boo who, but oh well, I guess. Good luck with everything and take it easy so you can make it to the 21st! I told Andy I wasn't going to make it to the 7th.

ReplyDeleteGirl, you have the right to complain for 9 full months! Being pregnant sucks!!! But we are all grateful that we can BE pregnant! So sorry that you had to pee on your hand twice in one day! Been there done that! Not so fun! But your date is getting closer, probably not soon enough for you. Please let me know if you need any help with the boys! Take care!
